Bladin's school is an independent school in Malmö and one of the oldest independent schools in Sweden.
We started in 1874 and are one of Malmö's oldest organizations. Bladins is run as a non-profit foundation, which means that any surplus is reinvested in the core business - in the education we offer our roughly 1,600 children and students. Bladins is a school consisting of seven different activities – Montessori preschool, preschool, elementary school, international school (IB School), high school and two leisure centers. We are a bilingual school.

The assignment

As School Director, your task is to lead and develop the overall strategy and  implement it together with your colleagues and establish Bladins as one of the best schools in Sweden. You get personnel and budget responsibility, the opportunity to develop and drive the business towards a long-term vision, and build a strong management team consisting of seven people. You are responsible for the overall strategy, budget, finances, local supply and report to the board.

 

We are looking for

We are looking for a strategic and skilled inclusive leader who is driven to create growth, with the ability to build a strong management team. In your previous roles, you have led managers and have a documented experience of leading in change, strong motivation to develop and expand businesses. You have solid experience as a school leader, CEO or equivalent, with a background that represents one of the various forms of education. You advantageously have experience in a larger organization and can navigate a complex environment, where successful management of stakeholders is the key to success.

 

Your leadership

Your leadership is characterized by a high degree of trust, inclusion and the ability to make things happen. You skillfully create a diverse and inclusive corporate culture where employees collaborate and act independently in line with the organization's goals and vision. You are stimulated by thinking strategically and act both at a high and a low level when the situation calls for it. Your success factors reflect clear and present leadership, and you skillfully manage budgeting, planning and follow-up to enable growth.
